Our market is paved with permeable concrete that's helpful for families who use strollers, wagons, or wheelchairs, and it is safe for dog paws even in SC summer heat. This paving was done thanks to a generous donation to the KCFM from a private donor.

We're not only a commerce spot for fresh produce and small businesses, we're a gathering spot, too. So, in 2024 we were awarded a grant from AgSouth to purchase several tables for patrons to use which are also wheelchair accessible.

KCFM is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization created to provide a location for the exchange of local produce and goods, as well as for educational and cultural activities for increasing knowledge about, appreciation for, and participation in the local production of natural food and their health benefits, while also fostering a sense of community among the residents and visitors of the City of Camden and Kershaw County.

In 2023 KCFM was ranked #5 in the nation and #1 in the state of South Carolina by the annual “America’s Favorite Farmers Market” contest, hosted by the American Farmland Trust. It is one of the largest voting-based rankings of farmers markets in the United States with over 7,000 listings of American farmers markets.
